Hello April! April is here and so are the buyers! After several months of slower activity, we are starting to see things pick up. Last month our price point was hovering about 450K for buyers and now it’s up in the 600K range. That’s great news for sellers! inventory is dropping again and so have rates, although not as much as we ‘d like to see. The word is getting out that you can buy now and refinancing for free in the next 5 years. The buyers are done waiting and are willing to pay to get what they want again. Even I bought a new investment property! Here is the message I wish more people would hear; when rates go down, interest in homes will go up and drive pricing. What you save in interest payments, you will lose in pricing. with so many refi options after your purchase, it’s amazing how many folks are still on the fence.
